Admin Menu Editor Pro allows you to customize the WordPress admin menu yourself for easy navigation through settings.
Admin Menu Editor Pro Features:
- Hide role or user menus
Change menu permissions in just a few clicks. Click on a role, uncheck the menu items you want to hide and check the ones you want to show. You can also change the permissions for individual users. For example, you can hide a menu from everyone but yourself, or give a user access to a specific administration page without changing their role.
- Edit the menu with drag and drop
Make WordPress easier to use by moving frequently used menu items to the top. You can also move menu items from one submenu to another or to the main menu. Want “Add New Post” or a top-level link for a specific plugin? You can do this. Have a fake plugin misplacing your admin page? Move to “Settings” instead.
- Choose from over 600 menu icons
The plugin comes with a large collection of icons from Dashicons and FontAwesome icon fonts. You can upload your own PNG or GIF icons through the Media Library or manually enter the URL of the icon. You can also add icons to submenu items.
- Change menu colors
Edit the background, text, icon, and accent colors. You can apply your changes to the entire admin menu or customize the colors of individual items.
- Create new menu items
You can add your own links to the admin menu. You can also create a custom menu containing the content of a post or page in the WordPress admin. Finally, it is possible to create non-clickable items that can be useful for things like section titles in complex admin menus.
- Open menus in a new tab or inset
Let’s say you create a site for a non-technical client and want to make it look like a training page or an external service is part of WordPress. The option “Open in frame” can help with this. It will show the linked page in a borderless frame. For completeness, a “new window” option is also included (ie target = “_ space”).
- Import and export menu settings
Export the administration menu settings to a file, then import elsewhere.
- Hide add-ons
Hide individual entries on the “Extensions” page. As with menu items, you can hide them from all or only certain roles or users.
- Apply your brand
Use the branding plugin to replace the WordPress default brand with your own. You can change the WordPress logo, customize the login page, change the admin color scheme, hide the WordPress version and basic update notifications.
- Edit the admin bar
The optional Toolbar Editor plugin allows you to customize the admin bar, also known as the WordPress toolbar. You can hide items from the toolbar, change their order with drag and drop, rename items, add new links, and more..
